Torn Paper Collage Portraits

Below are torn paper collage portraits of pets made from cardstock, printer paper, white paint, and Mod Podge (matte for most of it, glossy for the eyes and nose) on canvas. I use carbon paper to transfer the image onto the canvas. Mr. Barkley was created for a show while all of the cats were made as gifts. For the cats, there are special touches through them: backgrounds with significance to the recipient, and/or textures taken from images of their favorite books, songs, shows, and quotes. You can read the quotes in the ears of Salami, Pickle, Charlie, and Gimli below. Hopefully, when I am out of school, I can open commissions for these!
