Research

Here is a slideshow of some research pictures that represented the time periods of the show. The director wanted a very fluid time period, so inspiration was drawn from 1900-1940s.

Set Dressing

Here is set dressing based on the research photos (the bowl with the red exterior was later painted to match the other bowl). The only non-furniture props in the show were in this scene of Emily’s birthday. We also cooked bacon and fanned it through the audience for this scene so that people could get a fully immersive effect of the scene.
